The topics covered in this book are all either directly related to Recommendations from the World Wide Web Consortium or are very closely related to the W3C's activities. Because the W3C is the de facto standards group for the World Wide Web (in spite of having no formal standards granting authority), the W3C is the best place to turn when you have specific questions regarding the implementation of a Web-based technology.
A list of the technologies discussed in this book follows, as well as the links to the appropriate resources (where possible) on the W3C Web site. When the technology is not a W3C technology, the link to the appropriate governing body is given.
