Before we get started unwrapping each piece of the Artifact, I would like to mention the Smart UV unwrapper one more time. Remember that we used Smart UV Project to give us a basic UV map for our crate back in Chapter 3, It's Time to Customize!. This tool is great for basic shapes and still has a place in our process for unwrapping more complex objects:

Since our Artifact contains 42 different pieces, it is likely that Smart UV Project will be able to provide us an excellent unwrap solution for some of them. Then, using tools such as Pack Islands and Average Island Scale, we can add those objects unwrapped with Smart UV Project to our overall UV map.
