Musician/author Craig Anderton, an internationally-recognized authority on musical electronics, has written more than twenty books and well over a thousand articles. He’s also an award-winning recording artist who has played on, produced, or mixed fifteen major-label albums, mastered hundreds of tracks, and played Carnegie Hall; he’s taken his solo act to Europe and the U. S., as well as guested with groups like Air Liquide and played in a “power duo” with former Public Enemy bandleader Brian Hardgroove. An accomplished analog circuit engineer, Anderton’s designs have been used by bands such as Boston, the Motels, Sammy Hagar, and Van Halen, as well as solo artists from Larry Graham to Steve Cropper.

Because of his ability to demystify complex technology and present a practical, hands-on approach to getting a great sound, Craig is a popular lecturer who has given seminars in 38 states, 10 countries, and three languages. He also saw the potential of the net early on—his Sound, Studio, and Stage forum (started in 1995 on AOL) is the world’s longest-running Internet forum for musicians. Anderton is currently Editor Emeritus of www.harmonycentral.com, Executive Editor of Electronic Musician magazine (which he co-founded in the mid-’80s), Editor at Large for Keyboard magazine, and a monthly columnist for Sound on Sound, Guitar Player, and Pro Sound News magazines.
