• To introduce an architecture framework (of reusable components, principles, and design patterns) for building Web Services solutions.

• To identify some architectural constraints of SOAP, UDDI, and ebXML technology and some alternatives when designing large-scale Web Services solutions.

• To illustrate some Web Services design patterns that are essential to delivering Quality of Services.
