Novell acquired Silverstream and rebranded the Web Services products as Novell eteNd. Silverstream's flagship product exteNd includes an application server, developer environment, and messaging tools.

Application Server

• Novell exteNd Application Server— bundled with a messaging tool jBroker

Web Services Tools

• Novell exteNd Workbench— wizard and deployment tool

• Novell exteNd Director— content management, work flow, user profiling, portal, and so forth

• eXtend Composer— visual design, data transformation, back-end integration, action model processing, and UDDI registry. This is the integration server

• jBroker— messaging tools supporting CORBA, XML-RPC, MQ, and so forth. It is bundled with Novell extend Application Server
