iTunes is the gateway to Apple’s online iTunes Store, where you can download music, movies, TV shows, and other digital content. To download from the store, you need an Apple ID and a Internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular).
Music, audiobooks, and other audio content downloaded from the iTunes Store appear automatically in the Music app, where you can play them or create playlists. You can also use Music to listen to audio ripped from CDs or downloaded from the Internet.
Movies, TV shows, and other video content downloaded from the iTunes Store appear automatically in the Videos app, which lets you watch them on your iPad or on an external display. You can also use Videos to watch videos ripped from DVDs or downloaded from the Internet.
