W e’re all told to think about the three models of cloud computing as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).

However, before you get too comfortable, think about another cloud computing model that touches the three primary models that we’ve been discussing: Business Process as a Service (BPaaS).

BPaaS isn’t listed along with the big three because it’s a wrapper that brings all the other cloud models together. Briefly, it’s the way you tell services how to interact with each other based on business rules and business requirements. In this chapter, we focus on how BPaaS works with other models (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) and the hybrid cloud.
