Think Service Management

The same companies that have focused on creating more modular computing resources are also thinking about how to manage a wide range of cloud and on-premises resources. This is not something that most companies know how to do today, but it’s important that companies plan for the time when they can have a comprehensive view of all their IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS delivery models, no matter where these models reside or which company owns and manages them.

At the same time, management needs to bring these public cloud resources together with private clouds and data center assets. Doing so will require additional technology, sophisticated business processes, and analytics technologies.
