Acknowledgments

I must first thank Steve and Nancy Pease, my wonderful parents. You have each been amazing pillars of strength through transitions in my life and will always be unending influences. Dad, don’t worry, they’ll bring back Old Blue someday. Karen, I love you sis, and thank you for getting me into all types of music and helping me to keep an open mind. This really would not have fallen into place without the faith and support of Alyssa. Preston, the lengthy and legendary discussions on all things sound during our morning commute were more significant than a great deal of experiences I have had in this life—thank you, my friend. Eric, you keep me tough as nails and have always been a constructively critical voice and interested ear in all of my ventures (even when I talk too much), so cheers to you, captain. I want to send a resounding thank you to my good friend and mentor Paul Cox, who helped me get started on the path of digital recording. Ryan, you are a genius, and I thank you for always having a response to my inquiries on or off topic. Thanks to M-Audio and all the guys I worked with for their seemingly endless knowledge base. Mahalo to Greg for connecting me to this opportunity, and I must give big thanks to John and Les for causing me to froth at the mouth over recording equipment at an early age. Thank you to Mark and Cathleen for guiding me through this process. And finally, Scott, sometimes I wonder if your intelligence is human, because I don’t think you can get stumped. Thank you so much for your help, and next time I am out your way, I owe you a beer, buddy.
