By creating the proper DSC configurations for services, with composite resources that your developers can use as building blocks for their services and applications, you can increase deployment speed.

Provisioning resources in a public or private cloud with PowerShell is also extremely easy. Azure provides a huge set of cmdlets, and deploying a resource group is very simple. But deployments in a private cloud with VMWare or Hyper-V can also be easily scripted. Creating VMs from templates or from scratch takes very little time and code.
