Summary

This chapter is full of configurations, and different ways and alternatives to do the same thing. It will help you through your journey with Spring, no matter whether its 5.0 or earlier versions. In this chapter, we explored a range of ways to do instance creation and initialize it. We are now aware of almost all kinds of Java Concepts, along with how to do their configuration using both XML and annotation-based configuration. We have also seen ways such as autowiring SpEL to minimize the configuration. We also demonstrated Spring-provided annotations as well as JSR annotations.

Now we are set to implement all of these in our application. Let's start with database handling. In the next chapter, you will learn how to handle a database using Spring, and how it helps us in faster development.
