Apache JMeter is a pure Java-based open source software. The tool was originally designed to test web applications; however, it has been further extended to be used for load testing and performance of a function. Currently, JMeter is used for carrying out performance test, load test, as well as stress test. It is used to test the performance of an application in situations such as load on startups, in networks, and in a group of servers. The following are the features of JMeter:
