Part 3. Those important extras

In part 2, you learned the basics of getting a website up and running in Phoenix and Elixir. You could create some great web applications using only what you’ve learned so far, but there are a few extras that could make your sites that much better.

Specifically, part 3 covers

  • Using Phoenix channels to provide real-time communication and push updates to users on the site
  • Building a simple API to allow third parties (or yourself) to build applications with data from your application
  • Documenting and testing your Elixir and Phoenix code

It’s the extra little things like these that can take your web applications to the next levels of interactivity and utility. Ready? Let’s do this!
