Eddystone-UID

Eddystone-UID is a datatype supported by Eddystone beacons. It is a broadcast frame consisting of a 16-byte beacon ID, which contains a 10-byte namespace and a 6-byte instance. The 10-byte namespace is used to identify a group of Eddystone beacons, while the instance is used to identify a particular beacon. Both parts of the UID ensure the uniqueness of the beacon or set of beacons. The data structure of Eddystone-UID is as follows:

The default Eddystone-UID value is EDD1EBEAC04E5DEFA017. Eddystone-UID has an additional functionality to attach telemetry data. This telemetry data can be a URL for purposes of fleet management. Eddystone-UID with telemetry data is referred to as Eddystone-TLM.
