The Firepower Management Center prioritizes alerts based on the impact flag values (among other measures). The impact flag can be used to categorize an alert into one of five groups. Again in the table, the character X indicates that the value can be 0 or 1:
Color code | Impact level | Description | Bit pattern |
Gray | 0 | Unknown | 00X00000 |
Red | 1 | Vulnerable | XXXX1XXX X1XXXXXX 1XXXXXXX |
Orange | 2 | Potentially vulnerable | 00X0011X |
Yellow | 3 | Currently not vulnerable | 00X0001X |
Blue | 4 | Unknown target | 00X00001 |
Table of impact levels
Notice that some of the bit values are very similar. Ensure that you know which bits to look out for in the flag. For example, the difference between being potentially vulnerable versus currently not vulnerable is bit 2 (00x0011x vs 00x0001x).
