With GitLab, you can create repository mirrors. This means that, after an initial synchronization, the content (and metadata, if possible) is kept up to date with the remote source. The sync job will be triggered automatically and will time out after 15 minutes. This setting determines whether a user can set up mirrors. If it's disabled, only administrators can perform this task.
