In this chapter, we looked at a method for building a solution to manage RFP responses within an organization. The solution enables users who want to be kept in the loop to be notified when RFPs have been submitted and need to be worked on. Based on information submitted by the account manager and practice leads, the resources responsible for compiling, reviewing, and approving estimates are assigned tasks and notified of the required work. Through this process, higher-quality deliverables should be created on a timeline that meets the RFP requirements.

The solution in this chapter is also built using the lowest common denominator for SharePoint platforms—allowing broad usage and setting a foundation for solutions on the SharePoint Server platform and Office 365 Enterprise platform.
