Summary

In this chapter, we have learned the basic environmental requirements for deploying the OpenSSO web application. We have seen how the product supports extensive configuration and customization features including a highly available system with a load balancer in front. OpenSSO provides both a browser-based configurator for the web-comfortable users and command line-based interfaces for the system administrators who are fond of doing things the command line way. The distinction of various release builds and the details presented in this chapter should give you an idea about which build to pick up for your specific use case.

In the next chapter we are going to discuss the tips and tricks for the OpenSSO administration, including the browser-based user interface (UI) and a command line utility called ssoadm. I will also show you how one can create custom privileges and customizations on the UI console.
