Summary

AutoCAD provides you with a fair amount of control over dimensions through dimension styles. By making good use of templates, you can save your dimension styles so you don’t have to re-create them.

After you create dimensions, of course, you need to be able to edit them. The primary methods for editing dimensions are grip editing, DDEDIT, and DIMTEDIT. Each method gives you various ways of editing the dimension, from editing text to positioning text. And by taking advantage of new features you may just reduce your overall need to modify dimensions entirely.
