Using keying sets may be the easiest way to add keyframes. You can select a keying set right next to the Auto Keyframing button (the options that have a key symbol on them). When you pick a keying set, you won’t need to select the channels in which you want to set a keyframe each time you press I; Blender will automatically keyframe the channels selected in your keying set.
If you select the LocRotScale keying set, when you press I, a keyframe is automatically added to the three channels and there is no need to confirm the addition manually each time. Also, there is a keying set called Whole Character that will save a keyframe for the full rig whenever you press I, and you don’t even need to select all the bones each time you want a new keyframe—very handy!
