The last point emphasises the need to be systematic in your revision and cover the whole method. However, as you allocate time to revision it makes sense to allow slightly more time for those areas where you’re a bit unsure. That’s where the practice questions in this book and in the practice papers available from the exam board may help you. If you have difficulty answering a question, take that as a warning that you’re not sufficiently fluent on that point in the method.

An important exception to this is in the area of quality. Because the ‘quality’ chapter in the official manual is rather strange – focusing on definitions and procedures rather more than on the implementation of quality – many people feel uncomfortable with it, even when actually they have sufficient grasp of the content to tackle the exams. If you have professional quality experience you may feel even more uneasy, because it all seems slightly off beam. Don’t worry about that and just be sure that you understand the meaning of quality terms in the way that PRINCE2 uses them, and for the time being simply forget your previous experience.
