SAP BusinessObjects WebI provides standard calculation functions that help you make faster calculations. This means that we do not need to write a logic or additional program but just call these functions. SAP BusinessObjects WebI has the following calculation functions as standard (different tool have different out of box functions available, so let's have a quick look at what is available with WebI and how it can be used): 

• Sum: This function allows a user to calculate the sum of data (selected).
• Count: This calculation function helps us count all of the rows for a measured object or count distinct rows for a dimension or detailed project.
• Minimum: This function is used to display the minimum value of the selected data.
• Average: This function allows a user to calculate the average of the data.
• Maximum: In contrast to the minimum function, the maximum function is used to display the maximum value of the selected data.
• Percentage: This function displays the selected data as a percentage of the total (of selected data). The results of the percentage are displayed in an additional column or row of the table.
• Default: This function applies the default aggregation function to a standard measure, or the database aggregation function to a smart measure.

You can also use the formulas to build custom calculations. A custom calculation is a formula that can consist of report objects, functions, and operators.
