This worksheet is meant to be a companion to the chapters in the book, but it has also been designed so you can complete it without having to read the book in sequential order. It is broken into three primary sections, which should be done in order.

The first section, “Unique Costs and Resources,” takes into account what college will actually cost by the time you get there and what you already have piled up. It provides you with a Total Unmet College Cost number, which is what this book is going to try to whittle away at.

The second section, “Spending and Savings Strategies,” helps you chip away at your Total Unmet Need from the first page by primarily focusing on how money flows in and out of your household.

The third and last section, “Funding Strategies,” focuses on solutions you can use to eliminate the rest of the Unfunded College Need.
