2.4. CONCLUSION

In this chapter we have provided a tool long needed for managers and practitioners interested in expanding the global diversity dialogue. The SSI Model provides a base for understanding the multiple levels that exist within any dialogue between employees in an international or global company. It suggests the move from mono-focused identifications of diversity to a more inclusive discussion for all that makes us different. It relies on good will to explore the multiple differences drawn from our civilizational and national heritages in conjunction with the identities we have forged through our socialization and individual development. It calls for the continued reconciliation of these multiple expressions of diversity for the best interest of our corporate organizations.
