Chapter 7. Systems for Using People Effectively in Global Organizations

This chapter focuses on selected human resource systems and management practices that are pertinent to global diversity. We will examine in detail implications for interviewing, hiring, training, and development, as well as issues related to compensation, benefits systems, and staff mobility. Performance management, perhaps the system that is most relevant to global diversity, will be examined in depth in Chapter 8. While much has been written on global and international management systems, few authors have approached the subject from a global diversity perspective.
