Dedication

I dedicate this book to Douglas T. Ross, the father of
SADT and IDEFO, with whom I worked for more than
thirty years. The concepts presented here are his. I have
tried to present his ideas as I have come to understand
and apply them to the real world. I apologize to him for
any misleading statements herein, or for dabbing on his
canvas, as he used to put it.
