About the Authors

Jonathan Gordon (video author) is a prominent InDesign instructor who has trained students and adults in Adobe products for almost 20 years. Jonathan has lectured at various conventions and media workshops across the United States. An award-winning instructor, he was named Broward County Journalism Adviser of the Year by the Sun Sentinel (Broward and Palm Beach) in 2010 and 2015, and was awarded the same distinction by the Florida Scholastic Press Association in 2004 and 2010. Jonathan helped establish the Academy of Journalism at McFatter Technical High School, where students received journalism certificates in digital design and industrial communication. He has also taught Digital Media Technology (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver) through McFatter Technical College. Jonathan earned a Masters degree in Mass Communication from the University of Florida, specializing in online communication and web design. Several of his former journalist students have gone on to be published in the Columbia Spectator, Miami Herald, New York Times, and Sports Illustrated. Jonathan presently lives and works in Upstate New York.

Cari Jansen (primary book author) is an Adobe Certified Instructor and an Adobe Community Professional who spends much of her time helping people get the best out of Adobe applications and creative and publishing workflows. Cari is an industry professional with a hands-on production background in print and digital media. As a technical writer and qualified instructor, she provides training and support for a number of Adobe applications, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Muse, and Acrobat and has worked as a technical editor for a number of years. In addition, she has developed many Adobe training courses, including MyGraphicsLab Adobe InDesign CC Course for Print and Digital Media Publication.

Rob Schwartz (author of Chapters 8 & 9) is an award-winning teacher (currently at Sheridan Technical College in Hollywood, FL) with over 15 years of experience in technical education. Rob holds several Adobe Certified Associate certifications and is also an Adobe Certified Instructor. As an Adobe Education Leader, Rob won the prestigious Impact Award from Adobe, and in 2010, Rob was the first winner of the Worldwide Certiport Adobe Certified Associate Championship.
