  • Assess your group meetings. Are your meetings providing a relevant exchange of information between all the participants? Do your meetings have action-oriented outcomes? Use the guidelines in Run Effective Meetings to improve your meetings. Review the section Run Effective Team Meetings if you’re not sure what to use as an agenda.

  • Provide feedback to each person during one-on-one meetings. Give feedback on something that’s going well. If you see a problem, use the one-on-one to provide information on what needs to change.

  • Ask yourself whether you’ve been deliberately avoiding any feedback issues. If so, what’s preventing you from providing feedback? See Guide to Giving Effective Feedback to troubleshoot your feedback problems.
