8 Squirrels

It is important for the artist to know that within a species, individual animals may vary greatly in color. They may also vary in color depending on the time of year. For example, gray squirrels are usually gray to brownish gray with white underparts, but sometimes they are brownish underneath. In the summer, they may be more tawny colored than gray, and there are some “gray” squirrels that are actually all black or all white! They are all individuals, which only makes them more interesting subjects for your artwork.
