12 Woodland Animals

Living on a farm in Kentucky has given me the opportunity to see many kinds of wild animals that live in both open fields and wooded areas. White-tailed deer, chipmunks and black bears all are found in open woodlands and in fields bordered by trees. Sometimes these animals can also be found in more urban settings such as school campuses, golf courses, backyards and parks. For the black bear, I had to travel farther afield. I’ve observed and photographed black bears in parks, such as the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and in zoos.
