Although you can technically use the command-line method for this by connecting to the server through a remote desktop, the sandbox environments involved more than one server. The LCS method applies the update to all servers.

This method does take longer (several hours at present) to process, so this should be timed with that in mind.

The actual technical process is the same as the binary update we used when applying the updates to the development server.
