Starting and stopping OpenVPN

Sometimes the problem might be with the startup of the OpenVPN access server. The same logs can provide more information about the startup of the service. A good practice is to stop the service, move the log files to a different location, and start the service again. This creates a clean log file that has messages only for the startup of the service. It is then easier to isolate the problem.

OpenVPN access server can be stopped and started using the following commands:

service openvpnas stop
service openvpnas start
