This part is dedicated to taking your system design and putting it into service. It covers all the factors you need to consider to stay safe during and after the installation.

Chapter 14 explains how to obtain the permits you need to begin the installation process, and Chapter 15 covers all sorts of installation-related safety information. For insight into installing the structural and electrical components of a system, turn to Chapters 16 and 17. Last but not least, Chapter 18 fills you in on how to turn the system on, handle the local building department’s inspection, and maintain the system. (Your client is responsible for the bulk of the maintenance, but you need to know how to do it too so you can pass the information along and conduct an annual maintenance visit.)
