Requirements

This system must meet the following requirements:

• It must be robust and fault-tolerant.

• It must incorporate security that prevents documents for one client from being viewed by another client.

• It must support different workflows for each customer, based on the customer's own preferences and needs.

• It should be simple enough for nontechnical users to quickly master.

• It must work across the public Internet. Customers, remote workers, and traveling employees must be able to use the system remotely.

• It must be accessible to users of any operating system.

• It should cleanly integrate with the existing informal Windows NT directory–based workflow.
