Unpack the sample files onto a server that has Microsoft IIS installed.

Create a new virtual directory in the Internet Services Manager for the /examples/ workflow/demo subdirectory of the unpacked source.

In the IIS GUI, open the properties for the new virtual directory, and make the following changes:

• On the Virtual Directory tab, click the Configuration button. In the App Mappings tab of the configuration dialog, remove all the Application Mappings except the one for .asp. Change the extension in .asp to .aspx. Then add a new mapping that is identical to the .aspx mapping, except that the extension is .xml. (See Figure 13.4).
  
  
• On the Documents tab, remove all the default document names and then add _default.aspx to the list.
  
  
• In a real-live application, the Directory Security tab should be used to configure the application to force users to log in using Basic or Windows NT authentication. There is a comment in _utilities.inc about enabling security within the workflow application.
  
  

Create a new ODBC data source called SXML-FVADemo that points to the FirstVirtualAgency.mdb database located in the /examples/workflow/source subdirectory.
