Simple meditation

One of the simplest ways to meditate is to focus on your breathing. Follow your breath as you breathe in and out. Allow your thoughts to come and go; notice yourself noticing your thoughts. A common thing that stops people meditating is becoming frustrated when their minds drift off. More than likely your mind will drift off, even if you’ve been meditating for a long time. Don’t worry, just notice it and come back to the meditation. Be an observer of your thoughts rather than getting caught up in them. You will benefit even if your mind wanders off. It is a training ground for developing more focus and concentration, so build up slowly. Think of it as gym for the mind.
