9 ENJOY THE REST OF THE EVENING

Once you’re done with work, enjoy the rest of the evening. In the previous step you completed everything there is to do. You have created a psychological boundary between work and the rest of the day. It will also help not to check any work emails or messages after work. Have fun, do something for yourself, see some loved ones. Do whatever makes you feel great at the end of the day and is legal. This may sound like an obvious point but many people just go home unsatisfied or annoyed and frustrated. Enjoying the rest of the evening acts as a buffer between work and bedtime. You don’t want to carry any frustrations further than work and into your evening or, worse, into your sleep. If you feel tired at the end of the workday, use the energising exercises.
