The following procedure will help you enable the software iSCSI adapter:
- Log in to the vCenter Server, using the vSphere Web Client and use the key combination Ctrl + Alt + 2 to switch to the Host and Clusters view.
- Select the desired ESXi host, navigate Configure | Storage | Storage Adapters, click on the
icon ,and select Software iSCSI adapter:
- In the Add Software iSCSI Adapter dialog box, click OK to add the adapter:
- The Recent Tasks pane should show two tasks—Change Software Internet SCSI Status and Open firewall ports—completed successfully:
- The Storage Adapters section should now list an iSCSI Software Adapter:
