The following procedure demonstrates attaching an RDM to a virtual machine:
- Navigate to the VMs and Templates inventory view, select and right-click on the VM to which you intend to map an RDM, and then click on Edit Settings.
- Use the New device option and select RDM Disk and click on Add as indicated in the following screenshot:
- Navigate to the LUN presented and verify the NAA ID to ensure that the correct device is added:
- A new hard disk entry for the RDM should now be visible on the settings page, click on it to expand the advanced/additional settings for the hard disk. Change the Location, Virtual Device Node, and RDM Compatibility Mode if required and click OK to complete the process.
