The following procedure outlines the steps to deploy a VM from an OVF template:
- Connect to the vCenter Server as an administrator or a user with relevant privileges by using the vSphere Web Client.
- Navigate to the VMs and Templates view from the inventory home.
- Right-click on the datacenter object and click on Deploy OVF Template... as shown in the following screenshot:
- Click on Local file (or point to the URL) and click Next, as depicted here:
- Populate the Name, Location, and Compute Resource.
- Choose an appropriate datastore and disk format, and click Next as depicted here:
- Select the appropriate network, review the details, and click Finish.
