Junko Kawakami was born in
Tokyo in 1973. She moved
to the countryside with her
family, and started to draw at
the age of three. She wanted
to be a mangaka during all her
childhood. She then moved
again to Tokyo and started
to live alone when she was
twenty. She traveled all along
Asia between the age of twenty
and twenty, and then she
started to work as a mangaka.
In 2004, she moved to Paris,
in order to work with some
Belgian publishers,in addition
to her Japanese clients.
