Net.Data

Intranet and Internet Web solutions that use more than one programming language can both benefit greatly from the features built into the Net.Data product. Net.Data is a Web page-generation application that runs on the Web server used to integrate dynamic content from various data sources. It provides a macro scripting language that can be used to tie together new code, such as Java servlets, with legacy applications written in languages such as Perl or REXX. Net.Data also provides methods to access some databases through native DBI. Additional databases can be accessed as ODBC data sources.

The scripting language is easy to use and is useful for quick deployment of Web solutions. Net.Data can generate documents formatted using HTML or Extensible Markup Language (XML) with style sheets. It is supported on many platforms, including NT, OS/2, AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, Sequent, Red Hat Linux, Caldera Linux, OS/390, and OS/400. Net.Data is a simple but powerful application that is suitable for quick deployment of Web solutions or as a tool to integrate legacy applications.
