Rack-mount servers can be added directly to the appropriate rack-mount server area. It is recommended to configure the networking mode like direct attach, single mode or dual mode for rack-mount server. A Fabric Extender (2200 series) is automatically included in the rack-mount server area. Follow these steps:

1. Scroll down to the Rack Server section in the Hardware Inventory menu. Click on the Rack Server + icon, provide the rack server Name, and select the rack server model from the drop-down:

2. Click on the newly added rack server under the Equipment option in the navigation pane.

3. Select the rack server connectivity Mode from the drop-down menu. Cisco rack servers provide the Direct Attach Server, Single Wire Management, and Dual Wire Management connectivity options. Click on Manage Links of Rack to choose from the various connectivity options:

4. Click on the adaptor, controller, disk, dimm, cpu, and psu tabs to drag and drop the required components to the server.
5. Repeat step 4 for all the required server components.
6. Repeat the same procedure for all new rack-mount servers.
