To overcome the compliance and risks associated with multiple UCS domains, Cisco has developed a single pane of management for multiple UCS Managers, called UCS Central software (Manager of UCS Managers).

UCS Central software delivers centralized unified management and scalability of multiple Cisco UCS domains for up to 10,000 servers, whether they are located in a single data center or spread across multiple data centers. It provides a single control point for the core aspects of UCS management, such as policies, service profiles, pools, inventory, and faults, to simplify the operations and administer across multiple domains at a global scale where UCS Manager provides policy-driven management for a single UCS domain. UCS Central serves as an image repository for all firmware bundles and provides consistent firmware management across all the domains with minimum intervention. It provides centralized visibility into a complete inventory and reports on information across all the domains.
