SNMP

The following are the steps to configure SNMP for sending alerts to a remote SNMP server:

  1. Log in to the UCSM screen.
  2. Click on the Admin tab on the navigation pane.
  3. Expand Communication Management.
  4. Select Communication Services from the work pane.
  1. In the SNMP section, select the Enabled radio button for the Admin State option, as shown in the following screenshot:
  1. Click on the green Add sign under the SNMP Traps heading; a new pop-up window will appear for configuring SNMP.
  2. Provide the IP Address value of the remote collection server, SNMP string in the Community/Username field, server Port value, SNMP Version type, and Type of data collection. The last option, the v3Privilege field, is only applicable for SNMP v3.
  3. Click on OK.
  4. Click on Save Changes as shown in the following screenshot.
