Accessing component-level CLIs

It is also possible to connect to other CLI interfaces of individual components, for example, mezzanine adapters, server Cisco Integrated Management Controllers (CIMCs), IOMs, and the underlying Nexus OS. It is usually not required to connect to these CLIs for a normal operation. However, during troubleshooting scenarios, Cisco technicians may ask you to connect to other CLIs to collect logs and other advanced troubleshooting. This is done using the connect command with the desired CLI option. The options include the following as shown in the screenshot:

  • connect adapter
  • connect cimc
  • connect clp
  • connect iom
  • connect local-mgmt
  • connect nxos
