In this recipe, we are going to work by selecting the correct sentences in a paragraph. Students will have to consider whether each sentence belongs to the paragraph or not. Therefore, we are going to link to a website in which our students can read so that they can have some idea about coherence and unity. Afterwards, the same webpage gives the opportunity to carry out activities in a cloze and students have to fill in the right connectors. Later, we are going to write a paragraph and students are going to decide if a given sentence belongs to the paragraph or not using a True/False activity in Moodle. Let's Moodle it!
We are going to design this activity through a Quiz in Moodle using True/False Questions. First of all, we are going to create a link to the website and then we are going to write the paragraph. Afterwards, we are going to write a paragraph and a separate sentence asking students whether it belongs to the paragraph or not.
We enter the course and select the Weekly outline section in which we want to add the activity. We are going to design this activity in a Quiz, so you have to follow these steps:
Now we will follow these steps to create an activity using True/False questions. This is an exception, but it lets us achieve our target of selecting the correct sentences! These are the steps to follow:
After completing all these steps, you have just added one True/False question to the Quiz. You can write other options so that students decide whether or not these sentences fit in the paragraph.
You are going to follow these steps to add more questions so that students can choose all the correct answers in their paragraph:
