For this recipe, you'll need the metacoder package and datasets/ch5/rich_high_count_otu.biom, which is an example biom file with six samples (labeled Sample1–Sample6) and five OTUs. This is, of course, a very small file, useful only to learn how the code works. Real metagenomic datasets are much larger.
