The bnlearn package is the de facto package for BNs in R. It includes several powerful algorithms for automatic detection of the best structure, designed for very large problems. As we saw in this recipe, these can be used for both fully automatic learning and hybrid learning (expert + automatic learning). The hc() function that we used here, uses either the hill-climbing or the tabu search greedy algorithm (check the See also section of this recipe).
