About the Authors

Friedman, among others.

As a journalist, analyst, executive producer, and startup mentor, she has witnessed firsthand the transformation brought about by digital innovation. She covered the tech industry for leading publishing companies throughout the 1980s and 1990s, and was among the first to identify emerging technology trends, including the rise of web applications, early smartphone technologies, and social media. As the executive producer of the DEMO Conference for more than a decade, she ushered groundbreaking products such as salesforce.com, TiVO, and VMWare to market. Were those companies an investment portfolio, they would have a market value exceeding $300 billion today. Chris now spends her time curating and advising communities of entrepreneurs, journalists, and technology thought leaders as they navigate toward an empowering digital future.
